Family Beach Barbecue
....
(Not for the squeamish) (7k)
(date posted: Saturday PM, September 02, 2000)
Gradually the region of the beach starts to fill where
the small town's big event of the year takes place:
the Family Beach Barbecue. Usually there are about 10
families with maybe 30 children at this place. At
least at the beginning. All the other places of the
beach are occupied equally.
This year is no exception: on July 4th a lot of people
gathers on the beach. Everyone looks for a cosy place
in the dunes, and immediately the barbecues are
established.
Murder Games

The weather today is much too fine to stay at home. Even though it's still windy and cold, the sun is beckoning me to drive out to the local suburban park. I park my car there, and stroll for a while through the woods. The first trees open onto a playground, but it is still empty. There are many young families living in the nice houses nearby, but the kids will not show up on this playground until much later when spring arrives.
Three Little Friends
....
(NOT for the squeamish!) (13k)
Whenever the weather is really warm, the two sisters love to play with their little friend in the sand pit. Today it was rather hot, so the children only wore short cotton panties. Little 4 years old Marion was completely occupied in building a sand castle. Her light blonde pig tails dangled over her narrow tanned shoulders. Her eight years old sister Sabine, white blonde, too, and her 7 years old Friend Julia were sitting on the edge of the sand pit letting their slender little legs swing.
