"Well, we'd best be going dear," Mr. Connor said, glancing at his watch. "We don't want to be late."

"Yes dear."

"Have a nice time," Gwen said from the doorway as the couple walked out to their car. "Don't worry about a thing."

Mrs. Connor gave a final wave as the car pulled out of the driveway, and then it was down the road and gone. Gwen closed the door and went back into the living room. She really didn't mind watching the Connor kids so that their parents could enjoy a special night together. Of course, she had no intention of doing any homework, but they didn't need to know that. The first thing she needed to do was check on the kids, and make sure they were all asleep. She peaked first into the room of the twins, Joni & Judy. Gwen closed the door, then opened the door directly across from it, finding 4-year-old Tess asleep as well. Finally she went up the stairs to the small attic bedroom of 6-year-old Cameron. He, too, was sleeping soundly.

'Perfect!' Gwen thought as she went back downstairs and into the living room again.

Picking up the phone, the 16-year-old blonde called her boyfriend Pete.

"The coast is clear and the kids are asleep," she told him.

"I'll be right over!"
