Becky was already home from school and she was lying on the settee watching Blue Peter as David walked in.

"Hi Daddy. You're home early. Daddy? Are you all right? Daddy?"

"Am I all right? Am I ALL RIGHT! I'M RICH!!!"

Becky jumped from the settee and threw herself into her father's arms.

"What is it Daddy? What's happened?"

Holding his 9 year old daughter in his arms David sat down on the settee. Wrapping his arms around her he related all that had happened that day at work. When David had finished his amazing tale he stopped and smiled at Becky.

"So... The upshot is that we are rich. What do you think of that?"

Becky sat for a while mulling over all that she'd been told and then smiled. "I suppose that means that we can do whatever we like!"

"I suppose it does precious" laughed David. "And what is it that you would like to do?"

"Well... Helen keeps saying how she has do to certain things because her ex-husband has all the money. If you were married we could all do what we wanted."

"Married?" David sat thoughtfully for a while. He had entertained fantasies about marrying Helen and them all settling down, but had always thought of it as impossible. Now he was a millionaire in his own right, why shouldn't they marry?

"Well Becky, I'm not sure what Helen would think of that..."

"Oh Daddy! She loves you! Of course she'll say yes!".....(cont)
